Delegation from the University of Warsaw in Guinea

Between December 10-14, 2024 a vist to Guinea took place. A delegation from the University of Warsaw included representatives of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the head of the Chair of African Languages ​​and Cultures, prof. Beata Wójtowicz and vice-dean dr. Marta Wida-Behiesse, the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations (prof. Zbigniew Lasocik and vice-dean Dr. Tomasz Mering) and the Faculty of Geology (vice-dean Dr. Radosław Mieszkowski). The delegation aimed to establish cooperation with Guinean universities, namely: with the University of Sonfonia-Conakry, with which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed. Representatives of the University of Warsaw were received in institutions such as the Ministries of: Education, International Relations, Mining and Geology and the National Geological Institute. We are counting on fruitful cooperation that aims to develop Guinea’s higher education in the areas of humanities, social sciences, geology and archaeology.
