African Studies Student’s Club (MKA UW)

Interdepartmental African Studies Club of the University of Warsaw

The Interdepartmental African Studies Group of the University of Warsaw was established in 2004. Any UW student interested in Africa can join it.

The main goal of the organization is to expand and popularize knowledge about the African continent, the societies inhabiting it and their cultures. Membership in MKA UW makes it easier for students who want to carry out a research project in Africa to obtain funds for it.

The Circle used to published the scientific journal African Review – Przegląd Afrykanistyczny and organizes many different undertakings, e.g. discussions, workshops or festivals such as Africa Days, Days of Nigeria or Faces of Africa.
