A visit to Tanzania

This summer, as many as three members of our Department visited academic institutions in Tanzania.
Prof. Beata Wójtowicz visited our partners at the State University of Zanzibar, the University of Dar es Salaam, and the University of Dar es Salaam College of Education.

Dr. Izabela Romańczuk conducted a research visit at the University of Dar es Salaam and signed an agreement with the University of Dar es Salaam College of Education, where she will be teaching Swahili literature in the summer semester of the upcoming academic year.

Our student, Mateusz Pastor, stayed at the University of Dar es Salaam as part of a research grant under the African Studies program. During his stay, he visited the Mwalimu Nyerere Foundation, as part of his research on Mwalimu Nyerere’s politics regarding Pan-Africanism.
