Africanists from the University of Warsaw at the “Multiple Approaches to Oriental Studies” conference

The 12th International Conference “Multiple Approaches to Oriental Studies” is taking place on November 20-21 at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Warsaw. Our Department’s representation was also present.

Dr. Zuzanna Augustyniak delivered (together with Prof. Kamil O. Kuraszkiewicz) the paper “Archaeo-Oriental Studies: Filling a Gap in Knowledge and Research”, in which she described the current and planned paths of cooperation between archeology and Oriental studies.

Dr. Marcin Krawczuk in the paper “In Search of African / Afrocentric Literary Theory?” described the views of African literary scholars on how African literature should be read and interpreted.
