Remembering Prof. Hafizu Miko Yakasai

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of our colleague, Professor Hafizu Miko Yakasai, Rector of the College of Humanities at Bayero University Kano.
Professor Yakasai completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of Warsaw. For many years, he was an unforgettable colleague and a dedicated Hausa language lecturer. He was one of the most passionate advocates for the cooperation between the University of Warsaw and Bayero University Kano, a collaboration that continues to this day. We will remember him as an exceptionally warm, active, and helpful person.

His contributions to international cooperation and his passion for learning will forever remain in our memories.

May his memory be honored.
