The inauguration of the new academic year

The official inauguration of the 2022/2023 academic year at the University of Warsaw is held on 3rd October at 14:00, Auditorium Maximum, on the university historical campus at Krakowskie Przedmieście. The opening lecture will be delivered by a world-renowned surgeon, Professor Maria Siemionow of the University of Illinois, Chicago. The event can be followed online.
On 4th of October at 11.30 we invite the students of the Department of African Languages and Culture to the inauguration of the new academic year that will be held at Tyniecka 15/17 in room 012. The opening lecture “Luso-Swahili-Mwani language contact in time perspective” will be delivered by dr Eugeniusz Rzewuski.
